Equipped with its large original canvas sunroof, it offers the driving pleasure of a convertible while retaining the rigidity and practicality of a sedan. This configuration, produced in limited numbers compared to classic sedans, is particularly prized by collectors today.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"536\" data-end=\"1108\">The 1958 model year marked an important milestone in the Beetle\u2019s evolution. It was the <strong data-start=\"633\" data-end=\"688\">first year<\/strong> the car <strong data-start=\"633\" data-end=\"688\">was equipped with the large rear window<\/strong>, which significantly improved visibility and modernized the car\u2019s design. At the same time, it still retained the elegant <strong data-start=\"825\" data-end=\"875\">retractable arrow-shaped turn signals (semaphores)<\/strong> integrated into the door pillars\u2014an iconic feature of the early European Beetles. This unique combination makes the 1958 model a transitional design highly prized by collectors of classic Volkswagens.   <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1110\" data-end=\"1576\">Since its launch after World War II, the Volkswagen Beetle has established itself as one of the most iconic cars of all time. Built around a simple, robust, and economical design, it has served several generations of drivers and was produced in more than 21 million units. Its timeless design, which remained virtually unchanged for several decades, has made it a true icon of automotive history.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1578\" data-end=\"1951\">This Beetle was purchased by its current owner in 2004. It then underwent a complete restoration, carried out with a focus on preserving the spirit of the model while improving its reliability and driving comfort. The bodywork was performed by a Volkswagen specialist and was completed in 2018, the year it was returned to the road.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1953\" data-end=\"2292\">The body is finished in its magnificent <strong data-start=\"2008\" data-end=\"2023\">Agave Green<\/strong> color, applied as a direct gloss paint in accordance with the original period finishes. The chrome trim has been completely re-chromed by a specialist, and the interior has been fully restored by a professional upholsterer, faithfully recreating the original ambiance. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2294\" data-end=\"2748\">Mechanically, the car has been extensively refurbished. The electrical system has been completely overhauled and converted to <strong data-start=\"2429\" data-end=\"2441\">12 volts<\/strong>, as has the braking system. To improve safety and handling without altering the car\u2019s character, it has been equipped with <strong data-start=\"2577\" data-end=\"2606\">front disc brakes<\/strong>, a <strong data-start=\"2612\" data-end=\"2636\">stabilizer bar<\/strong>, an <strong data-start=\"2641\" data-end=\"2665\">adjustable front suspension<\/strong>, and a <strong data-start=\"2679\" data-end=\"2706\">removable rear skirt<\/strong>, which facilitates mechanical work.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2750\" data-end=\"3072\">The engine is a <strong data-start=\"2767\" data-end=\"2793\">1,776 cm\u00b3 flat-four<\/strong>, completely rebuilt in 2017 and producing approximately <strong data-start=\"2850\" data-end=\"2859\">90 ch<\/strong>, paired with the <strong data-start=\"2874\" data-end=\"2905\">original transmission<\/strong>.
