Equipped with the famous 3,164 cm\u00b3 flat-six engine producing 231 ch in European versions, it combines performance, reliability, and driving pleasure like no other classic 911. Thanks to its Bosch Motronic fuel injection, renowned durability, and exemplary handling, the Carrera 3.2 is now considered one of the most iconic and sought-after Porsches of the 1980s. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"670\" data-end=\"1381\">The convertible, introduced in 1983, offers the pleasure of open-air driving without compromising the 911\u2019s dynamic qualities. Even rarer is the <strong data-start=\"829\" data-end=\"865\">factory-fitted Turbo Look<\/strong> version <strong data-start=\"829\" data-end=\"865\">(option M491)<\/strong>, which features the spectacular styling of the 911 Turbo, with its flared fenders, special Fuchs wheels, reinforced suspension, suspension, and powerful braking system derived from the 930 Turbo, while retaining the more progressive character and mechanical simplicity of the naturally aspirated 3.2 Carrera engine. This option, which was particularly expensive at the time, was produced in only very limited numbers and is now among the most sought-after configurations by collectors.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1383\" data-end=\"1980\">The vehicle shown here is a <strong data-start=\"1417\" data-end=\"1473\">factory-spec Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Cabriolet Turbo Look<\/strong>, produced on <strong data-start=\"1487\" data-end=\"1506\">January 16, 1985<\/strong>, and delivered new to the U.S. market. Its <strong data-start=\"1552\" data-end=\"1601\">Porsche certificate of origin (Geburtsurkunde)<\/strong> confirms that this is an authentic <strong data-start=\"1641\" data-end=\"1658\">911 Cabrio TL<\/strong>, equipped with the highly sought-after <strong data-start=\"1708\" data-end=\"1732\">M491 Turbo Look package<\/strong> straight from the factory. It also confirms the presence of the original engine and transmission, which perfectly match the serial numbers\u2014a feature particularly prized by collectors of classic Porsches.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1982\" data-end=\"2603\">In addition to the prestigious M491 package, this 911 came with a particularly comprehensive list of features for its time. It was equipped with <strong data-start=\"2114\" data-end=\"2160\">a sport steering wheel with a raised center hub (option 018)<\/strong>, a <strong data-start=\"2168\" data-end=\"2215\">soft-top cover (option 070)<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2220\" data-end=\"2260\">central locking (option 341)<\/strong>, an <strong data-start=\"2267\" data-end=\"2321\">electrically adjustable passenger seat (option 438)<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"2335\" data-end=\"2373\">cruise control (option 454)<\/strong>\u2014features that were still relatively rare in the mid-1980s. This original configuration, fully documented on the Porsche certificate, further enhances the appeal of this particular vehicle.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2605\" data-end=\"3009\">Over the course of its life, this Carrera has been carefully <strong data-start=\"2645\" data-end=\"2661\">adapted<\/strong> to meet European market specifications. In particular, it was equipped with <strong data-start=\"2764\" data-end=\"2784\">European headlights<\/strong> and an <strong data-start=\"2797\" data-end=\"2853\">instrument cluster calibrated in kilometers per hour<\/strong>, giving it the appearance of a genuine Carrera intended for the European market while retaining evidence of its American origins. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3011\" data-end=\"3221\">This car also comes with its <strong data-start=\"3058\" data-end=\"3090\">original service record<\/strong>, its <strong data-start=\"3099\" data-end=\"3121\">Porsche certificate<\/strong>, and a file of invoices from recent years, providing particularly valuable traceability.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3223\" data-end=\"4057\">Between 2017 and 2018, it underwent a major mechanical overhaul by a Porsche specialist. The engine was completely removed and rebuilt, including the replacement of bearings, guides, and valves; the resurfacing of valve seats and gasket surfaces; and the replacement of cylinder head studs, piston rings, timing chains, and numerous peripheral components. The fuel injectors were ultrasonically cleaned, the alternator and starter were overhauled, and the drive shafts were refurbished with new bellows, while numerous finishing, cleaning, and restoration tasks were also performed. The total <strong data-start=\"3929\" data-end=\"3953\">cost of these repairs<\/strong> amounts to over <strong data-start=\"3929\" data-end=\"3953\">\u20ac25,000,<\/strong> reflecting the care this car has received over the years.   <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4059\" data-end=\"4671\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Rare in its configuration, authenticated by its Porsche Certificate of Origin, <strong data-start=\"4137\" data-end=\"4157\">matching numbers<\/strong>, accompanied by its <strong data-start=\"4178\" data-end=\"4200\">service booklet<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"4209\" data-end=\"4231\">Porsche certificate<\/strong>, and a comprehensive file of invoices, this <strong data-start=\"4277\" data-end=\"4325\">factory-spec 911 Carrera 3.2 Cabriolet Turbo Look<\/strong> represents an exceptional opportunity to acquire one of the most desirable versions of the G-generation.
