There are some cars that make you thrill just by seeing them, and the Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce is one of them. Its origins date back to the late 1960s, in 1967 to be precise, when the Giulia Sprint GT Veloce left the scene and passed the baton to the 1750 GT Veloce, a model that lost the term “Giulia”. A car of strategic importance, from which the men of Biscione drew inspiration to create a new, even sportier evolution, the 2000 GT Veloce, presented in 1971.<\/p>\n

Breathtaking looks and a racy engine: the changes made to the model from which it is derived are numerous, starting with certain details of the bodywork. The 2000 GT Veloce is easily recognizable thanks to the redesigned taillights and a grille with eight chrome slats that protrude from the central area to form the Alfa badge. One aesthetic detail that sets the 2000 GT Veloce apart is the badge on the rear pillars, which depicts a green enameled snake instead of the traditional green or gold four-leaf clover. The interior has been significantly upgraded with a new console, more refined upholstery and more supportive front seats. The most important innovations, however, are found under the bodywork. The engine of the 1750, fed by two twin-body carburetors, changes in many components. The displacement increases to 1962 cm\u00b3, the maximum power to 132 hp. These figures translate into brilliant performance: 0 to 100 km\/h is achieved in just 7.2 seconds, while the top speed is close to 200 km\/h. A thoroughbred sports car, the 2000 GT Veloce was developed by many enthusiasts for competition.
