The bodywork was performed by a Volkswagen specialist and was completed in 2018, the year it was returned to the road.

The body is finished in its magnificent Agave Green color, applied as a direct gloss paint in accordance with the original period finishes. The chrome trim has been completely re-chromed by a specialist, and the interior has been fully restored by a professional upholsterer, faithfully recreating the original ambiance.

Mechanically, the car has been extensively refurbished. The electrical system has been completely overhauled and converted to 12 volts, as has the braking system. To improve safety and handling without altering the car’s character, it has been equipped with front disc brakes, a stabilizer bar, an adjustable front suspension, and a removable rear skirt, which facilitates mechanical work.

The engine is a 1,776 cm³ flat-four, completely rebuilt in 2017 and producing approximately 90 ch, paired with the original transmission. This setup delivers significantly better performance than the original engine while retaining the character and driving experience unique to the Beetle.

The car comes with its original Volkswagen certificate of origin, its registration documents, and a comprehensive restoration file containing various invoices.
